FIRST BROADCAST IS OFFICIAL!

Sadly, HBO won't be showing up for our version of the Winter Classic.

Hey folks, some really exciting news. This is actually happening!

We've got about a week or so until the actual league starts, which means that we are going to test out our system for the time being. This is a really important time for us, as it allows us to calibrate our technology, get a handle for the games, and get valuable feedback.

And so, with that, I'm pleased to announce the very first simulated game we will broadcast:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 1: RANGERS at FLYERS
8:00 P.M. EASTERN 5:00 P.M. PACIFIC

That's right, we will be broadcasting 2012's winter classic as our first ever simulated game! You can watch the game live at our twitch tv channel, where all our games will be broadcasted. The puck will drop at 8:00/7:00 central, and 5:00 pacific.

Additionally, we will stream a pre season game every night until the start of the actual season, on October 11. Be sure to keep an eye on the schedule to stay completely up to date.

Additionally, feel free to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook to stay on top of things!

  2. Quick question - are you going to stream regular season games at their scheduled time? Or just on the correct day? I have to imagine it would be hard to stream games when they were actually scheduled, since there would be a ton of overlap.

    1. As far as I know, our current plan is to sort of do them in "blocks", since our games will probably be 20 minutes long. We don't really have the resources to stream multiple hour long games, so we would probably stream the night's worth of 20 minute games one after the other, at a set time.

    2. Sounds like a great plan, thanks for responding. Can't wait for this to get started (although I'll still try to remain optimistic about the real NHL season)
